Turkey Ends Two Month Anti-PKK Military Operation In Kurdish Town

Istanbul: Turkish security forces have ended an almost two months long military operation backed by a curfew in the southeastern town of Cizre against rebels of the Kurdistan Worker's Party (PKK), the interior minister said today.

"The operations in Cizre have been successfully completed," Efkan Ala was quoted as saying by the official Anatolia news agency, adding that a curfew imposed when the operation began on December 14 would nonetheless continue a little longer.
