US President has authored a scientific paper.
In a first for a sitting President of the United States, Barack Obama has authored a scientific paper in the latest issue of a prestigious medical journal.
The latest issue of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published an article titled 'United States Health Care Reform: Progress to date and next steps', an analysis of one of the flagship health care programs started by the Obama administration by the man himself.
Although, the author, signed 'Barack Obama, JD', was not designated as the President of US, but the address was listed as The White House.
Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump has asked for a roll back of the program dubbed as 'Obama Care' which the President said was the "most important health care legislation enacted in the United States since the creation of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965."
JAMA's editor-in-chief has however clarified that the article has gone through rigorous fact checking and multiple revisions over a course of two months.
