Many resolutions praised party chief Jayalalithaa for steering the AIADMK to victory for two consecutive terms.
Members at the executive meeting convened by the AIADMK party in Tamil Nadu today passed 14 resolutions.
In the meeting, held twice in a year, they urged the Centre to constitute Cauvery Management Board and to stop Karnataka's plans to construct two dams at Mekedattu across the Cauvery River.
The executive meet attended by legislators and lawmakers has also asked the Central government to release funds due for Tamil Nadu, including the 6,000 crores sales tax compensation.
The top decision making body of the party asked the Centre to grant due approval to raise MullaIperiyar Dam's storage level to 152 feet ie the Full Reservoir Level which, it said, would help the southern districts of Tamil Nadu to prosper.
On the interlinking of rivers issue, they want the Centre to link the peninsular rivers first.
The party also vowed to sweep the upcoming local body elections.
