AIADMK Government is 'Anti-Women', Says DMK Leader Stalin
Madurai: Saying the crime against women has increased in Tamil Nadu, DMK leader M K Stalin today termed the Tamil Nadu government as "anti-women".

Addressing a series of meetings, as part of his 'namakku namee' (self-reliance) programme, he said during the AIDMK regime 380 women had died due to dowry harassment.

The development schemes that were introduced during the DMK regime were deliberately left on the back burner.

Mr Stalin assured women his party would close liquor shops after coming to power. "That will be the first file the DMK government will sign," he said.

He also addressed the issues of cattle rearers, saying the profession has become a "burden" with the government offering only Rs 22 per litre of milk while they sold it for Rs 40 a litre.
