Actress Sonam Kapoor celebrated her 29th birthday with a very private party at her residence on the night of June 8. Though none of the big names of the industry were spotted arriving or leaving, the actress - dressed in a black top, jeans, glasses and flip-flops - did come out and wish all the media who waited outside her house.
The only exception to the stealth-mode party was actress Jacqueline Fernandez who was seen, literally, marching into Sonam's place. The actress looked casual yet party-ready in a navy blue crop top and a blue designer pants.
Coming up: Vidya, Dia at Shahid's Birthday Party for his Father
Vidya Balan, looking altogether very lovely in a fuchsia and gold sari, was invited to a birthday party for actor Pankaj Kapur in Mumbai on May 28. The party was reportedly hosted by Pankaj‘s son Shahid Kapoor.
Pankaj Kapur, star of acclaimed films like Maqbool, celebrated turning 60.
Actress Dia Mirza, producer of Vidya's new film Bobby Jasoos, was also at the party looking pretty in a sleeveless white top and blue denims. Vidya and Dia were probably invitees of Pankaj Kapur's wife Supriya Pathak who also stars in Bobby Jasoos.
Shahid Kapoor, casually dressed in a graphic T-shirt, was an unusually brooding presence in dense stubble and cropped hair.
Family album: Shahid posed for a picture with Pankaj Kapur, step-mother Supriya Pathak and his step-siblings Sanah and Ruhan.
Actress Tanvi Azmi, also a co-star in Bobby Jasoos, was elegant in a black churidaar-kurta worn with a red dupatta.
Vidya hugged Dia warmly. Behind them is Dia's fiance Sahil Sangha, looking somewhat startled.
Pretty ladies in a row: Dia, Supriya, Vidya and Tanvi pose for a picture together.
Filmmaker Sudhir Mishra was also at the party. He and Pankaj Kapur have collaborated on movies like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Main Zinda Hoon and Yeh Who Manzil To Nahin.
Filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra was another party guest. Mr Chopra and Mr Mishra co-wrote cult 1983 satire Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron in which Pankaj Kapur played crooked builder Tarneja.
