Prospective grooms seeking 'slim, fair/wheatish, convented bride from decent family' need not apply here. Because this 'funky matrimonial profile website' is like no other.

When 23-year-old Indhuja Pillai's parents put her profile on a popular matrimonial site, her first reaction was annoyance. She didn't want to get married. So she took the matrimony profile down and created her own website marry.indhuja on which she put out a more honest advertisement of herself, one guaranteed to discourage most 'suitable boys.'

"I wear glasses and look dorky in them. Not a spendthrift or a shopaholic. Detest masala & drama, not a TV fan. I don't read," she writes on her website. Also, she is "NOT a womanly woman. Definitely not marriage material. Won't grow long hair, ever."

To those gentlemen still reading, if you are/have/do none of this, you don't qualify: Bearded. Passionate about seeing the world. Hate kids (extra points). Great voice. Impressive personality. Be able to converse for at least 30 minutes.

However, be warned. If you are considering sending her "an expression of your interest", she has word of advice for you: "If you think you qualify, I recommend you re-think. If you are sure, I suggest you show this website to your parents. If you're still sure, try imagining a life with someone like me. Unsure? click the 'X' and get back to what you were doing. Sure? Drop me a message on Facebook or tweet to me."

Social media loved Indhuja's site instantly. Her website now has over two lakh views and 10k+ likes, she notes in her blog. She also concludes that 'people like genuine guts. They respect confident and free women, in the right way.'

On Twitter, Indhuja is getting a lot of attention:

Oh, and she's getting a lot of proposals on social media too:

The Bengaluru-based professional describes herself on Twitter as "Tomboy, Hates cats, Atheist, Catalyst" and her Facebook profile says she is a 'weirdo.'
