A group of children were asked what they would do if they were made Prime Minister of India and our leaders might want to take note of their answers.
YouTube channel Being Indian collaborated with ad filmmaker N Padmakumar on this five-minute long video in which Indian children between the ages of seven and 12 were interviewed.
"I would feed the poor," said one child. Another said he would remove all forms of violence and make sure people live in peace. A little girl wanted to build shelters for beggars, street kids and also animals.
Some wanted safety for women and many emphasised on 'education for all'.
The environment was top of some lists. "I would reduce carbon footprints," said a young boy. Another wanted to "reduce pollution, make sure there is less noise."
Several answers coincided with what's on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's agenda: Clean the Ganga, bring back black money from Swiss banks and make petrol and diesel cheaper. One child was practical. "I would build toilets in every home," he said.
Another wanted to scrap section 377 of the Indian Penal Code which makes homosexuality punishable by law.
One little boy said that he didn't even want to be the Prime Minister, and a little girl didn't really know what the Prime Minister does but said she would "definitely make the snacks less priced."
When asked what kind of team members they would appoint, most specified - educated, kind and not corrupt.
