Instagram, the hugely popular photo and video-sharing social network service, has turned five today. Launched in October 2010, Insta was created by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and acquired by Facebook in 2012.
On its 5th anniversary, here are five things about Instagram you may or may not know:

Taylor Swift is queen of Instagram with 49.7 million followers. She dethroned Kim Kardashian in September.
5 Insta celebs Here are five folks, not all of them human, you may not have heard of in the real world. On Instagram, they are stars.
Murad Osmann - This Russian photographer grabbed eyeballs for his #followmeto images in which his girlfriend (now wife) leads him around the world by his hand. The page has 3.4 million followers.
Symmetry Breakfast - This Instagram hit is all about breakfast from around the world. But that's not the only speciality, it is known for the presentation of food which is always symmetrical. The page has 40800 followers.
Dan Bilzerian - This American poker player and actor has a following of 12.8 million making him an Insta star.
Marnie The Dog - This 12-year-old Shih Tzu is full of style and cuteness. Don't miss the descriptor on her page which says: "I love walking & parties. H8 being alone. I'm a lady". She has a following of 1.8 million, mind you. Need we say more?
Eelco Roos - This Dutch photographer, with 45900 followers, is known for his breath taking pictures on the popular app. See them for yourself below.
