Airline's #MoreIndianThanYouThink Ad Wins Twitter But Is It That Good?

The reactions on social media range from delight to indignation.

NEW DELHI: A German airline has come out with a new TV ad to promote their brand among Indian travelers. The ad, which even trended on Twitter, shows a coach encouraging his team to be "more like Indians" to defeat them. Which includes thinking, relaxing, eating, playing, travelling and even dancing like Indians. While Twitter is flooded with praise for the commercial, we can't help but question - is it as good as it seems to be?

"Gentlemen, if you want to beat the Indians, you have to think like Indians," the coach tells his team in the locker room as the ad opens.

Many believe the video reinforces stereotypes about the country; starting with the team practicing yoga to relax.

A player holds up a naan and stares at it in wonder before eating it with his team. It's hard not to miss the bowl-sized kadhais they're eating out of.

And of course, the team breaks into a little dance on the field. Because which cricket team doesn't do a little jig before a match?

The reactions on social media range from delight to indignation.
