Over 33,000 Apply To Get Enrolled As Voters In Muzaffarnagar

More than 33,000 people have applied to get enrolled in the voter list of six Assembly constituencies.

Muzaffarnagar: More than 33,000 people have applied to get enrolled in the voter list of six Assembly constituencies in the district during a drive for correction of voter list.

As many as 18,49,729 people are already registered voters in the district, District Electoral Officer DK Singh said, adding during a drive of voter list correction work, 33,434 people have applied to get their names registered in voter list.

In the six Assembly constituencies - Budhana, Purqazi, Muzaffarnagar, Charthawal, Khatauli and Meerapur - 887 poling stations and 1,814 polling booths were established.

At present 18,49,729 voters, including 8,31,890 women, are enrolled in the voters list of the district.
