New Delhi: More than 5000 teacher posts will be filled up in Karnataka and official notification for the same will be released on 20 July. The massive vacancies which are supposed to be filled up in Hyderabad-Karnataka region is sure to witness a good response from teaching job aspirants. Though there's no exact figure for the vacancy, but candidates can expect it to be a big recruitment. As per sources, the department will consider recruiting local candidates, in order to prevent teachers seeking transfers.

This is ought to be a major opportunity for teaching job aspirants. The registration process, as usually is the case, is likely to be over within a month and selection procedures may continue thereafter.

In another development, Karnataka government has made Kannada language learning mandatory for all schools. Singing the State anthem 'Nada Geethe' is also likely to be made compulsory in schools statewide. 'Sources in the Education Department said rules state that children should sing the Nada Geethe too, but these are being ignored by private schools and those affiliated to Central boards,' quoted The Hindu.

In a series of tweets, which have also been retweeted by the Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, it has been stated that schools which fail to implement teaching Kannada as a subject will face disaffiliation.
