SSC Extends Last Date Of Online Registration For Scientific Assistant Recruitment

SSC Recruitment 2017 For Scientific Assistant Post Begins, Apply At ssc.nic.in

New Delhi: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has extended the last date for submission of application for scientific assistant post recruitment. The Commission will conduct recruitment examination (20-27 November 2017) for the post of scientific assistant in India Meteorological Department. The open competitive examination will be held for a total of 1102 posts; 'The number of vacancies is tentative and subject to variation,' says the Commission. Online application can be submitted till 4 August 2017. Interested candidates can check their eligibility and apply at ssconline.nic.in. Upper age limit is 30 years; age relaxation is available as per government norms.

Candidates can now submit their applications till 14 August 2017.

Candidates with 'Bachelor's Degree in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/ Computer Science/Information Technology/ Computer Applications OR Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent,' are eligible to apply. Candidates must have obtained first class in the qualifying degree.

The recruitment examination will comprise of two parts: the first part will consist of questions related to general intelligence, reasoning, aptitude, English language, general awareness and the second part will be subject specific.

Admit card for the examination will be released two weeks before the exam. 'If any candidate is unable to download Admission Certificate for the examination one week before the date of examination, he/she must immediately contact the concerned Regional/Sub Regional Office (s) of the commission with proof of having submitted his/her application.'

On the other hand, the Commission will conduct computer based SSC CGL Tier 1 exam from 5 August. The Commission has made major changes in the CGL 2017 exam dates.
