New Delhi: Sridevi is expected to be busy with the promotions of her next film MOM but what's keeping her a lot occupied these days is dealing with speculation about her elder daughter Jhanvi's personal life. The veteran actress mentions that, Jhanvi, who is yet to step into Bollywood, is already the Internet's new favourite star kid and is yet to get accustomed to the unpleasant accompaniment that are inevitable to the world of cinema. "There is nothing wrong in going out with friends. A person wants to write something wrong, he will write it even if you are just going out with friends. I can't stop that as she is a public figure (now). I have no control over anything," Sridevi told PTI. Sridevi's comment was perhaps in particular reference to reports that Jhanvi had followed around Ranbir Kapoor, reportedly her celebrity crush, at a showbiz party.

"Since it's happening in the beginning of her career, she isn't liking it. She was quite upset and I was like, 'Welcome to this world'," PTI quoted Sridevi as saying. "I know what she is doing and where she is going. I am a very friendly mom and my children share everything with me. I don't have anything much to say about all this," Sridevi added. Jhanvi, 19, and her younger sister Khushi, are the daughters of Sridevi and her filmmaker husband Boney Kapoor.

Jhanvi Kapoor, who effortlessly steals the spotlight at Bollywood parties, also sends the paparazzi in a tizzy whenever she steps out. Of her growing popularity, Sridevi said: "Wherever she goes she gets clicked, so what do I say about that. Even when you go to a restaurant or gym or anywhere, they (media) are everywhere and I can't blame them also as they are doing their job. But at the same time it is quite tough but she has chosen this profession so she has to cope up with this."

Earlier this month, Sridevi was criticised for saying she would have preferred Jhanvi to be married than have a career in films, a statement which she later clarified saying she was 'misunderstood.' About Jhanvi's debut, she told NDTV: "I'm very tensed, this industry has given me so much but it's tough. She has to work hard."

Meanwhile, Jhanvi will reportedly be introduced in Bollywood by Karan Johar and it is expected to be Student Of The Year 2. Sridevi is looking forward to for her 300th film MOM to arrive in theatres on July 7.
