Rebel AAP Lawmaker Devinder Sehrawat Questions Party's Funding In Punjab

Devinder Sehrawat today questioned the source of AAP's funding in Punjab.

New Delhi: Continuing his tirade against the AAP leadership, rebel MLA Devinder Sehrawat today questioned the source of party's funding in Punjab and said he would approach the Income Tax department and Enforcement Directorate for a probe into the matter.

"I was in Pathankot, Jalandhar and Gurdaspur where I met a lot of NRIs. They said AAP has taken a lot of money from outside and it has not maintained any account (of the money). I am a founder member of the party. I am so shocked," the Bijwasan MLA said.

Cracking the whip on dissidents, AAP had on September 12 suspended Mr Sehrawat from the primary membership after he accused partymen in Punjab of "exploiting women" in return for tickets.

Mr Sehrawat has also been targeting Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his "coterie".

When contacted, AAP's Punjab's co-incharge and Rajouri Garden MLA Jarnail Singh said, "His allegations do not even merit our response."
