Mumbai: TV tycoon Peter Mukerjea, husband of accused Indrani Mukerjea in the Sheena Bora murder case, underwent a fresh round of questioning today and is likely to be confronted with his wife once again.

Peter, who was questioned for nearly 12 hours till late last night in connection with the case, reached Khar police station this morning. Two hours later, Indrani was also brought to the police station.

Both Peter and Indrani are likely to be brought face to face, a senior officer said, as police investigation into the sordid saga aims to unravel the three-year-old murder mystery.

"Mukerjea was called again at the Khar Police Station today as we are trying to corroborate his statement with that of Indrani, with whom he co-founded INX Media," the officer said.

Indrani was arrested on August 25 for the alleged murder of her daughter Sheena.

Yesterday, police carried out a search at Peter's flat in Worli and took away some documents and a laptop.

On Wednesday, Mr Mukerjea met his wife for the first time since her arrest on August 24 for the murder of Sheena Bora, the daughter she had always introduced to everybody as her sister.

Some of the questions posed to Peter yesterday were about his financial transactions, especially his investments, his share in various companies, and how much money he had given to Indrani, son Rahul, step-daughter Sheena, and younger step-daughter Vidhie, who is Indrani's daughter from her previous marriage.

Shena Bora was engaged to Rahul, Peter's son from an earlier marriage, when she was allegedly murdered on April 24, 2012.

The 24-year-old was allegedly strangled in a car, then her body was burnt and dumped at a forest in Raigad, about 84 km from Mumbai.

Her purported remains were found a month later and buried by the police, which treated the body as unclaimed.
