Parts of North India to Receive Rain in Next 3 Days: Meteorological Department

New Delhi: Several parts of Northern India are likely to receive rain from June 1 to June 3, officials of the Indian Meteorological Department or IMD said today.

"Rain is likely to brings the searing temperature down by a few notches," added an official.
    
"Many parts of Northern India will experience thunderstorm in the next three days due to western disturbances," said BP Yadav, IMD Director.

The areas include Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, northern Rajasthan, and western Uttar Pradesh.

Torrid weather conditions have been prevailing in North India for the past few days with heat wave sweeping across the region and mercury settling at around 40 degrees Celsius in most areas.
