Moderate Intensity Earthquake Hits Bhaderwah

A earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale struck the Bhaderwah belt.

Bhaderwah: A moderate intensity earthquake struck the mountainous region of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir this morning, sending people into tizzy.

The earthquake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, struck the Bhaderwah belt of the district at 10:28 am, MeT officials said.

"As of now, there is no immediate report of any casualty or damage to the property," Sub Divisional Magistrate Mohammed Anwar Banday said.

Panic-stricken people rushed out of their homes when the quake, whose epicentre was 7km south-east of Bhaderwah, rattled the town.
