Border Security Force Jawan Among 2 Killed In Accident In Ramban

Banihal: Two persons, including a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, were killed today and three other jawans injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a gorge in Ramban district, police said.

BSF constable Babi Rai and driver Ghulam Nabi died on the spot when a Jammu-bound passenger vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the deep gorge in Tethar area of Banihal, they said.

The injured have been identified as Head Constable Samar Kumar, Constable Lal Babu Kumar and constable Dev Raj, Station House Officer (SHO) Banihal Nazir Dar said, adding they have been hospitalised.

A case has been registered in this regard and investigation is underway, he said.
