Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who steered her Trinamool Congress to power in West Bengal four years ago winning a massive mandate, today hoped the next government would also be formed by her party.

Speaking in the Assembly, Ms Banerjee said "I have been here for four years. One more year is there to go and with the help of people's blessings, we will come back to power."

"We have done a lot of work in the past four years and we will do a lot more in next one year," Ms Banerjee, chairperson of Trinamool Congress, said.

Turning against the Opposition (Left Front), she said "I am not going anywhere and I won't let you people (opposition) go away too. You people (oppposition Left Front) will be removed by the masses only," she said.

Speculation is rife that the Assembly election due in May, 2016 would be advanced. The Trinamool Congress government completed four years in office on May 20 last.
