Media Persons Were In Danger At Dam, PM Modi Saved Them, Says BJP Leader

The alertness of Mr Modi saved the lives of several cameramen and photographers.

Sanosara: The alertness of Prime Minister Narendra Modi  while inaugurating a huge water project in his home state of Gujarat saved the lives of media persons, said Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat Nitin Patel.

Mr Patel said that the Prime Minister was examining the landscape in Jamnagar in the West part of the state after he pushed a button to release water from the dam.

"He suddenly noticed that several cameramen and photographers were standing on the downstream side. The strong flow of water released a little while ago was racing towards them and could have washed them away," said Mr Patel at a function, according to news agency IANS.

Busy taking photographs of the event, the cameramen and photographers were allegedly unaware of the potential danger. By clapping his hands and with other gestures the Prime Minister alerted them, said the leader from his party, the BJP.

"If the PM had not alerted them, a big mishap could have happened," he claimed.
