Mumbai: On Saturday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped out to promote the Marathi film Hrudayantar by the debutant director and fashion designer Vikram Phadnis. Aishwarya was present to launch the music of the film in the presence of the media. When asked if she would like to act in a Marathi film, Aishwarya said, "I would love to. I started with a Tamil film and I always have by my choices made it clear that I am an actor, it doesn't matter which language the film is in or by whom, my career is proof of that. I would love to work in Marathi films if the script excites me."

Before entering Bollywood, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her debut in a Tamil film titled Iruvar in 1997, after that she did Rahul Rawail's Aur Pyar Ho Gaya, opposite Bobby Deol in the same year. Her last screen appearance was in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016.

The trailer of Hrudayantar was launched by Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan last month. Vikram Phadnis is leveraging all his contacts in Bollywood and leaving no stone unturned to give his Marathi film the extra push that's needed. The film stars Subodh Bhave, Mukta Barve, Trushnika Shinde and Nishtha Vaidya. It's slated for release on July 7, 2017.
