Varun Malik, who works with a multinational company in Udyog Vihar area of Gurgaon, tried to commit suicide by cutting his wrist and then uploaded a picture of a bleeding hand along with a suicide note on the social networking site.

"I Varun Malik in all my senses want to declare that I am ending my life because of my internal struggle. I hold no one responsible for it. I don't have anyone. I am all alone. Ending my life is the only option left with me," he wrote.

Soon after this message appeared on his timeline, two of his friends - with whom he was chatting - informed the police and wrote SOS messages seeking help to save him.

"People staying in Gurgaon and those who know where Varun lives, please please rush to help him and inform the police," wrote a friend on Facebook.

According to the police, Varun "had almost cut the veins of his hand while he was chatting with his friends. He even pointed the camera of the laptop toward it and wrote a note on the social media site, saying 'no one is responsible for my suicide' ".

When the police reached his flat in Sector 10, it found him lying unconscious and immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital. His condition is said to be stable now.

Varun is unmarried and lives with his father, who is retired. According to police, he was depressed since his mother died a few months ago after donating kidney to him.
