Police Detains 4 Students For Ghaziabad School Hoax Bomb Call

Chhabeel Dass Public School received a phone call on its landline phone, with the caller stating that a bomb had been planted on the first floor.

Ghaziabad: Four students of a Ghaziabad school were on Wednesday detained by police for making the hoax phone calls about planting of bombs in the school building.

Four Class XI students of Chaudhary Chabeel Das Public School were detained for making the calls about a bomb in the building of their own school to harass the management, Ghaziabad Superintendent of Police Salman Taj Patil said on Wednesday.

The students said that they made the call to harass the school management. The call was made from the classroom by using a cellphone watch, Mr Patil said.

Keeping their future in view, police reprimanded them for their silly act and handed them over to their parents, he said.

Yesterday, two hoax calls were made to the school which which sent authorities into a tizzy prompting them to evacuate the staff and students to a safer place.

However, sources said that the school management was not aware that their students had made any hoax call.
