CBSE Will Not Approach Supreme Court, CBSE 12th Result 2017 Can Be Expected Soon
After series of events involving CBSE's moderation policy, the recent news has come up that the
Board is not going to challenge Delhi HC's decision. 'School board CBSE, asked by High Court to hold its decision to scrap marks moderation policy, will not move Supreme Court', says NDTV source. The news has brought relief to all students who had been waiting long for the result. With Board not approaching the Supreme Court, there is a possibility that CBSE results can come out soon. The Board is likely to give the result date today, as well! Students, especially those awaiting the CBSE 12th class result 2017 can expect their result anytime soon.
There were reports of CBSE contemplating to approach Supreme Court of India with a special leave petition (SLP), challenging the Delhi High Court order on marks moderation policy. This had added to the woes of students and parents who are desperately waiting for the result.
CBSE's decision for scrapping moderation policy left students in confusion. What added more to this tussle was the Board's delay in declaring the result. Even as of now, the Board is mum about a tentative date!
We talked to Ms. Sunita Nagpal Principal DPS, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon about the moderation policy to which she said, ‘The important and underlying reasons for this move by CBSE definitely deserves credit. The unrealistic cut offs in colleges due to artificial inflation of marks was a bubble waiting to burst.’ Addressing the chaos over result date she added that, ‘The anxiety is more due to the fact that Delhi University admission process has already begun and many of our students plan to study there. Ideally this policy should have been implemented in a phased manner after due information at the beginning of the year.’
After the reports of CBSE approaching the Supreme Court challenging Delhi High Court's decision came to light, anguish became more visible as waiting for a 'decision' could have delayed the result further.
With the Board not moving top court, CBSE results can be expected anytime soon.
