Heavy Rains Lash Delhi, High Humidity Levels Trouble Residents

New Delhi: Heavy rains lashed the national capital in the evening though humidity levels remained high today even as mercury settled two notches below normal.

"While no rainfall was recorded till 5.30 PM, high humidity levels oscillating between 93 and 87 per cent troubled Delhiites," a MeT official said.

Rains lashed various parts of the city during the evening hours.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 32.7 degrees Celsius, while the minimum settled at 25.4 degrees Celsius, both two notches below normal.

Delhi received continuous downpour over last week, highest in last 10 years during the season, creating waterlogging and traffic snarls in several areas.

The weatherman has predicted that heavy rains may lash various parts of the city tomorrow as well.

"The minimum temperature may be around 26.4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius," the official said.

"The morning will be cloudy and heavy rains are likely to occur later in the day," he added.

Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 31.3 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
