Dust Storm Sweeps Delhi, Maximum Temperature Settles At 40.7 Degree Celsius

New Delhi: A moderate density dust storm swept several parts of the national capital today with the maximum temperature settling at 40.7 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 21.2 degrees, three notches below the season's average, said a Met department official.

At Palam, the maximum temperature was registered at 42.2 degrees Celsius today.

The humidity level in air oscillated between 65 per cent and 16 per cent.

The MeT office has predicted partly cloudy skies becoming mainly clear for tomorrow.

"Partly cloudy skies will become mainly clear towards night. Dust haze is very likely to occur towards morning and evening.

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover at 41 and 22 degrees," the weatherman said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature had settled at 40.3 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at at 21.2 degrees.
