Air India Plane From Vijayawada Makes Emergency Landing At Delhi's IGI Airport

New Delhi: An Air India plane, with over 100 passengers and crew onboard, from Vijayawada today made an emergency landing at the IGI Airport in Delhi due to a technical glitch in the aircraft.

The aircraft, an Airbus A-319, landed safely and all passengers were safe, official sources said.

Full emergency was declared about 11:15 am for Air India flight AI-460 coming to Delhi from Vijaywada after the pilot informed Delhi Air Traffic Control about some issues on the plane's engine, they said.

The plane landed safely at about 11:20 am, and passengers and crew all were reported to be safe, they added.

Confirming the incident, an Air India spokesperson said the emergency landing was sought for its Vijaywada-Delhi flight, which had 101 passengers onboard, after some technical glitch was reported in one of the Airbus A-319 aircraft.
