New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal has decided to do some deep breathing. The 47-year-old Chief Minister of Delhi will spend 10 days in Nagpur at a vipassana course. The down time comes after Mr Kejriwal said it's not unfeasible for Prime Minister Narendra Modi "to have me eliminated" and asked his supporters, in a 10-minute video posted on YouTube, to gird for unflinching persecution on the orders of the PM.

The Chief Minister is an experienced practitioner of both vipassana, an ancient meditation technique which mandates complete silence, and clanging, often unsubstantiated charges about political opponents.

After intense campaigning for the 2013 Delhi election and the 2014 general election, Mr Kejriwal had taken vipassana breaks.

During his time out at Nagpur, which begins tomorrow, he will not have access to television or newspapers.

His Aam Aadmi Party or AAP's relationship with the Centre has been packed with all kinds of heat.

Mr Kejriwal said in his YouTube video earlier this week that the Delhi government's "accomplishments have infuriated the PM" which is why he has unleashed central agencies to frame false cases against AAP lawmakers, 12 of whom have so far been arrested and released on bail. The Chief Minister said that courts regularly find that AAP has been unfairly targeted.

Mr Kejriwal, who has also taken the centre to court for allegedly trying to steal powers away from the Delhi government, has in the past described the PM as "a coward and psychopath," labels he later said he did not wish to strike from the record.

His offer a while ago to offer free vipassana training to government school teachers was rebuffed- they asked him to expend efforts instead on improving facilities for students.
