The 28-year-old woman has told the police that Mr Ratan contacted her after she posted on her Facebook page that she wanted to watch the movie 'Sairat' and requested a CD.

Mr Ratan allegedly messaged her saying that he had a copy. The young woman alleges that he picked her up and took her to the Brahmaputra Hostel on campus, where he stays.

An AISA leader, Ashutosh Kumar, said: "We stand by the complainant in her fight for justice."
