New Express Train Between Pune-Hazrat Nizamuddin From May 23

The trains would have a coach composition of one First AC, five AC-2 Tier, eight AC-3 Tier with one Pantry Car.

Mumbai: Railways would introduce a new weekly AC Express train between Delhi and Pune from May 23, which would be flagged off by the Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu through remote from Rail Bhavan in Delhi.

"Inaugural special train no 02494 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4.25 PM on May 23 and arrive in Pune at 4.10 PM the next day, and in return direction the train will run as a special train 02493 leaving Pune at 9.25 PM on May 24 and arrive Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9 PM the next day," the Central Railways said in a statement.

"Commencement of regular service of train no 12494 from Hazrat Nizamuddin for the period from May 31 to June 28 will be every Tuesday, and train no 12493 from Pune for the period from June 2, 2016 to June 30, 2016 will be every Thursday," it said.

Thereafter, from July 1, 2016, train no 12494 will run every Friday from Hazrat Nizamuddin, and from July 3, 2016, train no 12493 will run every Sunday from Pune, the statement said.

Train no 12494 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 9.35 PM and arrive in Pune at 9.25 PM the next day, while train no. 12493 will leave Pune at 5.15 AM and arrive Hazrat Nizamuddin at 5.35 AM the next day, it said.

These trains would halt at Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam and Kota stations, it said.

Bookings for inaugural special train no 02493 will begin from May 22, while bookings for regular services of train no 12493 will start from May 25, the statement added.
