Ram Vilas Paswan's Rebellious Son-in-Law Makes Peace With Him

Anil Kumar Sadhu, the son-in-law of Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president, Ramvilas Paswan, today made peace with him.

Patna, Bihar: Days after raising a banner of revolt, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Ramvilas Paswan's son-in-law, Anil Kumar Sadhu today made peace with him and withdrew the remarks he had made against the Union minister and his son, Chirag Paswan after being denied a party ticket.

Mr Sadhu had even become emotional and broke down on TV with tears rolling down his cheeks after making a blistering attack on the father-son duo.

LJP is an alliance partner in the BJP led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), both at the Centre and in Bihar.

"I take back all the comments made by me against Ram Vilas Paswan and Chirag Paswan in the past... My complaint has been redressed after a talk with the two. Ram Vilas Paswan is our leader as well as guardian," Mr Sadhu said.

Mr Sadhu was upset at being overlooked for a ticket from Raja Paker (reserved SC) seat. LJP has already fielded LJP chief's younger brother, Pashupati Kumar Paras from the seat. When asked if he will contest these elections, Mr Sadhu said, "The party will decide the matter."

Earlier, Mr Sadhu had shown keenness to fight against Paras to avenge his "insult". He dismissed making any deal and asserted that "no deal is made within family."

He had also announced his decision to field Dalit Sena candidates in all the districts in poll-bound Bihar to defeat NDA nominees. Mr Sadhu was then removed as chief of Dalit Sena, an organisation of the downtrodden affiliated to the LJP.

Mr Sadhu was expecting a nomination from Kutumba (reserved SC) seat in Aurangabad from LJP, but the ticket went to partner Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), where former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi's son, Santosh Kumar Suman has been named as NDA candidate.
